The regional cuisine is much appreciated by all visitors. It is specially famous for the "Posta Barrosã" (Barroso veal), for the "Cozido à Barrosã" (cooked pork meat and smoked meats with cabbage) from November to April and roasted Goatling from Christmas until Summer. You can also try different kinds of traditional smoked meats and sausages such as "alheira", "chouriça", "salpicão".

Other products that should be tasted are the rye bread, "Folar da Páscoa" and the honey from Barroso.
